The STEAM Expo is Thursday May 18, 2017 from 8:45 a.m. to 10:25 a.m. Please feel free to come see all of the projects!
The STEAM Expo replaces traditional science fairs of the past. Instead of just doing a scientific experiment, students now have more freedom in their choice of what they will do. They can still do a scientific experiment, but they can also make something. What that something is could vary greatly from artwork, a contraption, an interpretive dance, a working machine, etc. Students are expected and required to be creative in their projects. What would be acceptable at a traditional middle school is not necessarily acceptable at Galileo. What was acceptable last year is not necessarily acceptable this year.
This project should take time, effort, and creativity.
